I Thought I Asked for UN-leaded......

Took a painfully slow run on the bike path with Mike to night. We took a big run last night and I felt like I could run forever - it was such a treat to run on fresh legs. Tonight - no such luck. The trailhead to the poop plant is 5.5 miles and flat. It should have been a breeze, but it wasn't. Sometimes I'm just not feeling it ya know?
I had on a new running outfit. Normally I love the C9 stuff, but these totally bugged me. The shorts were too low rise and too short legged. The top was too loose and I had to wear a bra to keep the girls in check in addition to the tank. I hate that.
It was hot. And muggy. I was whiny. Most importantly, someone somehow filled my butt with lead - I didn't ask for that.
Best I can say is it's over and my legs are sore. Whoop-Dee-Doo. I'm biking tomorrow, forget this running crap.

Don't wait for me tonight cause I'm taking another run. Half marathon is approaching fast. Biking is easy..running not so much easy.
Didn't help that you had to pee.

Lets look at the positives.

You knocked out 5.5 miles and hey today is Friday.

Hope you have a great bike ride.

I think your supposed to take a day off here and there to let your muscles and legs recover....don't listen to me though I take LOTS of days off and running still sucks :)

You think running in that gear is tuff?

Try running in a speedo like Simon Lessing.

Now that's tuff.

Ah. Painfully slow run. Now you're talking my language.

I've had that run - I'll have it again soon, I'm sure. It happens, not to worry. How do you feel about epsom salt baths after a hard workout? Seems to help me recover faster.

if not, tomorrow is another day. Keep going!

Are you saying that you run TO the poop plant? Shouldn't you be running AWAY from it? Just wondering.

It's an out and back loop actually. The trail head is at one end of the trail and the trail dumps out (no pun intended) on the road next to the water treatment facility, which incidentally smells icky, which is motivation to run faster! we run AWAY from it on the way back to the car......

That is good motivation. I wonder if your Garmin shows a faster time for the half mile or so approaching and leaving the plant. :)
